{tit}{cp}MACE-VCM OTR CAI WITHOUT MANIFOLD INSULATORS TO SUIT
HOLDEN VE SIDI LF1 3.0L V6 (Please note this specific SIDI OTR will only suit the LF1 specific VE motor. If you have a LLT, LFX & LFW motor please locate them in the search menu.If you are unsure or need assistance please contact us) This OTR cold air intake provides a range of benefits as listed below:
The factory intake is very limiting, as the engine must draw in air through the 90 degree curved intake pipe, restrictive air box and paper panel filter. The intake is designed in such a way in order to limit noise but unfortunately lowers the volumetric efficiency of the motor. There is:
The circular LF1 and LLT MAF cartridges will simply slot into the adapter included with the OTR which is pictured below. This adapter relocates the MAF between the throttle body and the OTR. This adapter will NOT suit later model LFX and LFW equipped commodores so please choose carefully (OTR to suit these motors are featured in another ad). If unsure, feel free to contact us. Kit Contains:
*THIS KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE MANIFOLD INSULATORS, PLEASE VIEW OUR OTHER LISTINGS FOR V6 OTR PACKAGES THAT INCLUDE MANIFOLD INSULATORS.* To ensure successful fitment, the MAF loom will require extending and our manifold insulators will also need to be installed to allow the throttle body to line up with the intake. This is somewhat of a tedious install and unless confident we recommend having it fitted at a professional workshop. Please contact us, if you require fitment instruction. Please note :
Intake must be used with the factory MAF cartridge and our Manifold Insulators for perfect fitment. Alan Mulally spells out the future
Sun, 09 Jan 2011Ford CEO Alan Mulally is famously on-message, handing out business-card-size versions of his business plan to all and sundry, including his “One Ford” mantra. “One Ford” covers a lot of ground, but it's shorthand for Ford becoming a single entity where the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. It's close kin to the concept of building global product platforms that spread costs for product development and parts over the greatest possible volume.
The Toyota FT-1 concept would make a damn fine new Supra
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Detroit auto show is just getting started, and Toyota has kicked things off with a nice surprise: The racy FT-1 concept. A product of Toyota's Calty Design Research facility, the FT-1 concept shares some of the swoops and vents with the Lexus RC F. But there's a boatload of high-performance styling cues there, too: Take a quick glance and you might spot the front end of a Ferrari Enzo, the profile of the Nissan GT-R, the double-bubble roof of the SRT Viper/any number of Zagato creations and the oversized retractable rear wing of the McLaren P1.
Higher gas prices? Blame ethanol
Fri, 04 Apr 2014MarketWatch reported today that the price of ethanol has seen a 30-percent price increase so far this year, taking the price of gasoline up with it, since a good majority of "gasoline" sold today is around 10 percent ethanol. The average price of a gallon of gas today is $2.30, according to FactSet data, but this has varied since the beginning of 2014. Despite the recent surge, ethanol prices have also proved to be rather volatile with reports of it dropping 8 percent this past Thursday after falling 10 percent just the day before.
